| Welcome to the New Year, Rockstars! May your 2025 be filled with light and prosperity! Dean, Master of Bridge Tone Rocco and I kept busy this month. Rockstar Dean again dropped off his Kramer and Stagg Stratocaster copies. The problem? The bridge pickup on both guitars didn’t have a tone control. Who knew this is what Leo Fender intended when he designed the Stratocaster? He wanted the bridge pick-up shrill to cut through the band during solos. But that ice-pick sound is a bit limiting. So Rocco and I installed a jumper wire on the pickup selector switch so now the bridge pickup and middle pickup are both wired to the lowest tone knob. Design flaw corrected! | Groovy Reunion I met up with fellow Groovy Coconut Paul Bastante at the premiere of his latest film, “Friendly, Tolerable Characters” which featured music by The Cruel Earth. All had much merriment.  |
