Our new friend Arturo dropped off a well worn Fender Squire this week.

This Fender would make Buddy Holly proud!
“I learned to play on this guitar,” Arturo said, adding that he bought it four or five years ago.

Love the fretboard wear! A played instrument is a loved instrument!
He certainly did! Look at the wear on that maple fretboard! Beautiful! A played instrument is a loved instrument.
This tobacco sunburst Fender had a nice, straight neck and low action. The only thing it needed after a clean-up was a fret leveling and dressing. These frets were as worn as the fretboard, with sizable dings and dents, especially around the second fret. Rocco and I got ’em smooth, level, and shiny and strung this bad boy up with La Bella Benders.
This is a sweet playing and sounding axe, with plenty of bite in the bridge pickup (Arturo thinks he put a DiMarzio in there). Shine on, you crazy Squire!
